The destination, of course, is Amnesia, a cavernous double-room extravaganza of a club devoted to glittering production, with glamorous dancers halfway to the ceiling, strobes, pulsating beams of coloured light and enormous video screens. These are currently swirling with the word ‘Gareth’ as Mr Wyn fires a salvo of up-front bangers onto the main dancefloor, bouncing from wall to wall between Darude’s ‘Sandstorm’ and a tranced-up remix of ‘Block Rockin’ Beats’.
