1. Introduction

This report contains a list of venues at which BigPicnic Partners delivered their project outreach

exhibitions, this includes details about where these activities were held and the number of

individuals attending and/or engaging with the exhibition.

Between May 2017 and June 2018, 103 exhibitions (including workshops and other exhibition

activities) took place in 14 countries (13 in Europe and 1 in Uganda). These exhibitions were co-

created by the BigPicnic garden Partners and individuals representing particular groups or audiences

that the Partners identified for the project. Exhibitions took place both within Partner gardens and at

additional venues thereby aiming to reach a wide audience. Of the 104 exhibitions, 54 were held

outside of the Partner gardens. External venues included schools, summer camps, fairs, festivals,

parks, bookstores, libraries and community centres.

Audiences reached through the BigPicnic exhibition activities include: refugees, migrants,

schoolchildren, students, individuals living in lower socio-economic areas, senior citizens, families,

urban gardeners, middle class consumers, activist groups, policy makers, socially disadvantaged

children and teenagers. In total 178,216 people participated in these activities. Further exhibitions

are planned for the final phase of the project.
