Treasured Seasons
For everything there is
an appointed season,
And a time for everything
under heaven -
A Time for sowing,
a time for reaping,
A time for sharing,
a time for caring,
A time for loving,
a time for giving,
A time for remembering,
a time for parting,
You have made everything
beautiful in its time
For everything you do
remains forever.

THE BIBLE
THOUGH THE COVER IS WORN,
AND THE PAGES ARE TORN
AND PLACES BEAR TRACES OF TEARS
YET MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD
IS THIS OLD BOOK THAT’S WORN AND OLD
THAT CAN SCATTER AND SHATTER MY FEARS
THIS OLD BOOK IS MY GUIDE
IT’S A FRIEND BY MY SIDE
IT LIGHTENS AND BRIGHTENS MY WAY
AND EACH PROMISE I FIND
SOOTHES AND GLADENS MIND
AS I READ IT AND HEED IT EACH DAY
