OnMemorial Dayweekend 2007, Protzmann premiered a new version of his one-man show,“Connected!,” with a focus on using music as a self-intervention tool for issues related tomilitary service. In 2011, he launched Music Care Inc, a for-profit corporation dedicated toproviding education in music as adjunct treatment for post-traumatic stress, depression andanxiety.
Inadditionto itsconcertformat,“Connected!” isalsoofferedasakeynoteaddress,adaylongseminaranda30-minuteshort-formatteaser.Since2007,“Connected!”hasentertainedmanycivicorganizationsandNGOsinSanDiegoCountywithapracticalmessageofmusicasselfcare.Otherrepresentativeclientsinclude:

Since2010,Mr.Protzmannhas volunteeredas aPartner in the SanDiegoVeteransCoalition,and,from2011until2015,wasasavolunteerDirectorandSanDiegoAreaFacilitatorofGuitarsforVets,anationwidenon-profitcorporationthatprovidesguitarsandinstructiontoVeteransforrelieffrompost-traumaticstress.HeisanAssociatememberoftheAmericanMusicTherapyAssociationandamemberoftheHealingMusicOrganization.Whenhetalksaboutmusicandselfcare,hespeakswithgentleconvictionandfromrealexperience.
