Section A: BIM Project Execution Plan Overview
To successfully develop an efficient Building Information Model on a
renovation project. This plan is developed to describe in detail various goals
and procedures for the different BIM uses.
This plan further describes the design of processes for executing BIM through
the project lifecycle.
Different subcontractors will be involved in the project tasked with providing
models which will be used in developing a federated model.

2. Project Name: Jump Work Group
3. Project location and address: 1306 N Berkeley Ave, Peoria, IL 61603
4. Contract Type / Delivery Method: Stipulated Sum (Design – Bid –
Build)
5. Brief Project Description : The site shall be renovated as a 2 level office
to be used as an administrative support block for OSF hospital and Jump
Work Simulation group. The proposed site will be developed over
47,000 sq ft costing about $5.5 million. The scope of work includes
improving the overhead clearance of the Mechanical, Electrical and
Plumbing components .
6. Additional Project Information: Building Information modeling
required through interdisciplinary coordination. Note that an additional
access route between the two levels (Level3 & 4) is to accommodate by
cutting open the slab at the center of level 4.

Section H: Collaboration Procedures
1. Communication Methods:
Constant communication is the fundamental of BIM (Integration &
Collaboration of teams). Meetings on site and in office will be the primary
communication method while Google documents the secondary. Hours of
communication will be from 8:00am to 6:00pm which happens to be the time
period of major design decisions.
2. Meeting Procedures:
Agenda
Every involved party will need to define their agenda clearly by preparing a
short list of concerns and requests. The briefing will be limited to Google docs
in order to save valuable meeting time.
Location
Meetings will be held on the site and in the office as required. Below is the
location for both the venues.
Room 304 107 N Commerce Pl, Peoria, IL 61604 Site 1306 N Berkeley Ave, Peoria, IL 61603
Schedule Conflicts
At the end of each meeting the parties will confirm the details of the next meeting.

3. Information exchanges:
All the information required will be made available on the SSD drive. Parties will be
provided access to our Google site, sites.google.com/site/PJHoerr-OSF , for any document
or information they will be needing. Further the following document will be made
available on the website:
meeting transcripts: anyone who misses out on the information will stay updated.
revision log: record for past revisions and a provision for the conflict resolution when
face-to-face meeting is not possible.
BIM execution log: live project manual.
All of the work will be made available in digital format through the life of the project and
parties authorized by the owner will be given access to the files after the project.
3. Conflict Resolution:
The procedure for resolving design conflicts will be group discussion of merits and
demerits of a proposed change. Each person will assess the situation and provide a
solution. A majority vote will be taken to firm up a decision, in case of a tie, an outside
source will decide.
All concerned parties will be contacted.

Section I: Quality Control
1. OVERALL STRATEGY FOR QUALITY CONTROL:
Team members from each discipline are responsible for ensuring that their individual
designs not only conform to the overall design intent, but also coordinate with the
design input from other members. The team will maintain an active awareness of
model accuracy, clash avoidances and overall model soundness.
2. QUALITY CONTROL CHECKS:
The following checks should be performed to assure quality.

Section K: Model Structure
1. File Naming Structure
Files should be saved and backed up regularly. File versions should be modified
regularly with each revision and be notated as “discipline name 1-1.xyz”.
For each authoring tool a separate folder should be created which shall contain
all the revised versions of the model.
FILE NAMES FOR MODELS SHOULD BE FORMATTED AS:
ARCHITECTURAL MODEL AR-
FIRE PROTECTION MODEL FP-
PLUMBING MODEL PL-
ELECTRICAL MODEL EL-
HEATING MODEL HD-
HEAT PROTECTION MODEL HP-
STRUCTURAL MODEL ST-
