Use them when we don’t want to refer to a specific person or don’t know who the person is.

Can use ‘they’ to refer to these pronouns. Use singular verbs

Rules also apply for words ending in –thing or –where, -one (something, somewhere, anywhere, anyone, nowhere, no-one, everyone, everywhere).

SOMEBODY: affirmative sentences questions we expect a particular answer.

Present Perfect Simple Present Perfect Progressive

'have' + past participleemphasise the result

'have' + been + verb + ing emphasise the duration or

continuous course of an action.
