Global warming is the
rise in the averagetemperature of Earth's
atmosphere and
oceans.

Now, every time we burn a fossilfuel , we release carbon dioxide--a major greenhouse gas.
: C + O2 = CO2.
So, as we burn fossil fuels, we putmore and more CO2 into the air. This makes the greenhouse effectstronger, so traps more heatwithin the atmosphere. This, inturn, causes temperatures to rise.

ses
•C + O2 = CO2.
Trapsheat
•CO2 is a green house gas, andtherefore it would trap heat
Rise in
temperature
•More heat trapped, definitely
would increase the temperature

as acid rain, impacting both naturalareas and the built environment.

C6H12O6 + O2 = CO2 + H2O (respiration)CO2 + H2O = C6H12O6 + O2 (photosynthesis)
The excess of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions
generated from human actions(deforestation) cause a disturbance to thisbalance. leading to less carbon dioxide (CO2)removal by the process of photosynthesis
and the respiration becomes more,

Trees play a critical role inabsorbing the greenhouse gasesthat increases global warming.
Fewer forests means largeramounts of greenhouse gases(suchas CO2) entering the atmosphere—
and increased of global warming.

the world’s rain forestscould completely vanish in ahundred years at the current
rate of deforestation.

Global warming can be causedby a layer of pollution thattraps heat around the earth.
This pollution comes from cars, factories, homes, and powerplants that burn fossil fuel

Green house gases are the major causeof global warming. Greenhouse gasescause global warming by trapping heatfrom the Sun in the Earth’s
atmosphere. This causes increase intemperature and hence global warming

Coral bleachingCoral bleaching is caused whenrising water temperatures stress thecoral, leading it to expel the algae ituses to obtain nutrients. Whenwater temperatures rise evenslightly, algae leaves the coral
causing the coral to lose its colorand eventually die.
