She has received grants in France, is a member of the French writers guild, spoke atnumerous conferences about the transmedia concept, teaching some classes, andpresenting her creative coaching tool: the "7 Transmedia Families" card game (and real lifegame), based on her methodology for transmedia design, launched in 2011 with aninternational community of practitioners and researchers.

She founded and curated the “Transmedia France Meetup” for 5 years, producing workshops and consulting; and launched the “Transmedia Alliance” in 2013 at the South by South West festival as a guest speaker. (http://fr.slideshare.net/KHwork/press-release-transmedia-meetup-sxsw2013).

In 2014 she made a proof of concept about her methodology with the Institut for Researchand Innovation of the Centre Pompidou, Paris (National Museum, French Ministry of Culture),called “Transmedia Mix" (*).

PROPOSAL

Comes the occasion to look at what happened. Convergence culture. Media convergence. Then what? We knew, in 2010, as we were discussing, among practitioners and artists, together with some researchers ans scholars, those whom were present in the social networks threads, we knew that the need for a methodology was going to increase because the professions were already handling too much changes, and way too fast.

In this presentation I will give a feedback of the experiment that was produced in 2014 at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, called “Transmedia Mix”. This special format of workshop was made as a proof of concept for the methodology I propose for transmedia creation. I will explain the set up, the framework, the production of the workshop and its activities, and the results we have barely shared up to now. It is a result of several years of experimentation.

I will also illustrate the story of this collaborative and open event with real life stories about the international transmedia community I have facilitated and/or observed between 2009 and 2015. I will explain why I did this and how my experimental and independent research led me to universities, and, then, finally, hold me back because of the lack of understanding about transdisciplary work. Sidestories, back stories and anecdotes will mix with the history of the term transmedia, together with some pictures and screen shots (audio is also available for archives only).

The talk will also produce feedback of the 5 years experiment with the coaching tool I created called the “7 Transmedia Families”, a card game, about professions, specialties, skills and talent to be intertwined in a transmedia production.

The Institute for Research and Innovation of the Centre Pompidou welcomes TransmediaMIX, a MIX betweenthe BARCAMP and the HACKATHON formulas staged in order to cocreate a transmedia project proof ofconcept, a cooperative collaboratively generated artistic work, within an original Storyworld aboutCHANGEMAKERS and EDUCATION.

This CHALLENGE will re-contextualize the term transmedia with the help of online on site mentors andmediators.

The work & methodology resulting from this cooperative event can be repeated with similar groups in othercultures and countries. The generic theme, "The agents of change and education" is being discussed onlinewith #transmdiaMIX and @Storyhacking (former @storycoding).

Preregistered participants are supervised and mentored according to their wishes and skills. Everyone is aparticipant, everybody wins, the challenge is focused on achieving a project proof of concept, starting withcreating parameters and guidelines for the realization of a work in Creative Commons or Copyleft.
