Due by 14:40 of Lab 8
using myCourses ASSIGNMENT TOOL
1000 word maximum - Graded in Pairs
The first assignment, you will have to complete is a project proposal. This proposal should include this
information in a list format:
1. Background Information
This should include background on the scientific question you wish to address, why it is important,
information on the study species, and why it was chosen to answer this question. This information should
lead the reader to the logical basis of your hypothesis.
2. Hypothesis
Your hypothesis should be clear and concise, with supporting predictions (graphical predictions are even
better!). Hypothesis and predictions should be testable and falsifiable. It should not just be a repetition of the
original hypothesis, but should expand upon it. You should include both your hypothesis and your
predictions.
3. Methodology
Should be clear and straightforward, you should not just repeat the original methods, but focus instead on theadditions you are making. This should include explanations of the treatments, control, replication, and
randomization (depending on the project).
4.Expected Results
Provide an overview of the possible results How do these results reflect the hypothesis and predictions?
What results would support the hypothesis? What results would refute the hypothesis?
Your proposal should include outside sources, which should be properly cited, following the format instructed by your TA
within the text and on a Literature Citedpage.
