in the cloud.

Some guidance is provided about basic functionality and tools.

Please note: Biotronics3D are continually updating and improving their product and therefore the

screenshots in the guide may not fully match the appearance you see when you login in.

Before you start

When you open a study, the diagnostic viewer opens as a new browser window which may be recognised

as a pop-up. Please ensure that you allow pop-ups for 3DnetMedical.com or you won’t see the viewer.

MAC Users

Disabling Safari popup blocker

1. From the Safari menu, make sure Block Pop-Up Windows is unchecked.

MAC USERS

Use Safari – 3DNetMedical doesn't work

with Google Chrome on the MAC.

In order to see images - you have to

disable 'block pop-up windows', which is

in the Safari window.

My User Account

Logging In - on the MAIN page click on the Log In Button

Enter your username and password (default password: biotronics3d) then click Log In.

Note the contents of this box regarding your monitor setup.

Setting your own password click on ‘Edit your profile’

(For help on the basics, there are some video guides available)

Select the Change Password tab and enter details. Ensure you complete a Security Question from the drop down list as you will need this is you forget your password.

If you get into difficulties with you password please contact Biotronics 3D Support or reset it at the login page.

Viewing Studies

Accessing The Study List - click “Studies”

A page similar to this will display. There are two main sections TOP SECTION: Displays a lsit of patients currently available in the Cloud. (Surname, firstname)

BOTTOM SECTION: Displays detailed information about the patient that is currently highlighted in the top section. In this example is Joshua Redman is highlighted in the top section and the items in the bottom section relate to this

patient.

Opening a Study - In the TOP section; highlight the patient and then click on the load

images icon (left hand side). The images will load in another window.

The colour of the icon indicates the status of the study

It is recommended that you take some time in familiarising yourself with the tools and side tabs.

Scrolling Through Images – Use the wheel on your mouse.

A brief explanation of the main tools is given in these guidelines, but there is nothing like trying them for yourself! Please Note: Be aware that Biotronics 3D are constantly updating and improving the application so the screenshot you see in this guide may not exactly match what you see on screen.

View Order/Request Form In the BOTTOM Section of the screen: Click on documents icon; find the document; click on View;

The Request Form will display in a pop-up window. If the image does not display please see the trouble shooting tip over the page.

Viewing .tff Documents with Internet Explorer 8 If you are using Internet Explorer 8 you might need to do the following to enable the Request Form to be displayed: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level and make sure that "Automatic prompting for file downloads" is enabled.

This will allow you to view tiff format.

Loading Clinical Applications With the study highlighted in the top section, tick both the prone and supine series Click the module icon and select CT Colon from the applications available

Series

Series Tab - You can move through the series by clicking on ‘<’ or ‘>’

To see a description of the available series click on the word ‘series’ to open the tab up (close by clicking on the same word).

Displaying Multiple Series - Click ‘Series Set’; select the layout in the pop-up box.

This example show a four series display

Linking Series Select a pane by clicking into it and scroll through until the two series align. Holding in Ctrl + Shift, click and select the windows you want to link. Then hit Series Link

Screen Layout for a series - Top Tool Bar. Click on the two little arrows to display all the layout options

There are a number of predefined layouts. The ones with coloured box are for MPR. User allows you to set your own layout.

Tools

Annotation Tools – bottom of right side Tool Bar.

Click on the two little arrows to display all the annotation tools Tools are activated by ‘left click, hold and drag’ method

over the image area.

Measure a distance Angle Circular Volume Polygon Poly line Text Arrow

Reset Button – Will remove all annotation and any other changes you have made to the

image.

You can remove individual annotations by expanding the Annotations Tab and clicking ‘X’ next to the one you want to remove.

Window Levels - Can be adjusted in two ways:

Click of the window levels icon – Right Tool Bar – then ‘left click, hold and drag’ the mouse across / up and down on the image to adjust the windowing.

Click of the window levels displayed on the image then select from the preset that display in the pop-up box of use the slide bars to adjust the levels.

To save a new preset, enter a title and hit the green ‘+’ button

Snapshot Function: - Top tool bar or top right corner of image.

This function allows you to store a ‘snapshot’ of an image (with annotation, measurements, etc) that can then be sent back into PACS.

Process:

Make the changes to the image (measurements, arrows, text, etc)

Click on the Snapshot icon to capture an image

Open the Snapshot tab

Tick the little white box on the image stamp(s) that you wish to send back to PACS

Set the Gateway to ‘biotronicsgw’

Click Send

Additional Tools – Right side Tool Bar

Pan: ‘left click, hold and drag mouse’ method to pan the image.

Zoom: ‘left click, hold and drag mouse’ method to zoom the image.

Interact: This is the ‘default tool’ that allows you to scroll through the images. Click on this to deactivate any other tool.

Reporting

Creating A Report - Click Report (Top Tool Bar)

A new tab will open on the screen.

Type your report into the large box. You can minimise/maximise the reporting tab by clicking here if you want to see the full images again.

Previous draft, final and addedum report are all displayed in the report window

Ending a Report - When you have finished the report you can:

Discard: To reject the report entirely.

Save: To save the report in the Cloud for you to come back to at a later stage.

Sign: To finalise the report and send it back into RIS/PACS, where it will be available throughout the hospital.

Important Note:

DO NOT add images via the Snapshot panel as these cannot be incorporated back in to the RIS/PACS Report.

Report Templates - A Number of standard report template texts have been set-up for you

use. To access these you use the Tags and templates at the top of the reporting box.

Click on Tag1 and select the Anatomical Area Click on Tag2 and select a sub area or if one isn’t need leave as Tag2 Click on Template and select the standard text you with to use The text will appear in the report box. This can be edited and added to as you wish.

Sharing To share – Select the studies you want to share by ticking the box, then click the share button

If it is an existing user, just enter their username

If sharing with an unregistered user, enter their details

Before sending, you have the option of anonymising the exam(s). You must secure the exams with a 4 digit pin and add a message. The recipient will receive an email and link to 3DnetMedical. Once they sign in they can access the shared images or report from their Inbox.

To remove share permissions: Select “Remove” while under the “Shared by you” tab.

Organization Invites

Invite new users: Under Manage > Org Invites, enter the new user’s name and email address

This generates a JoinID which is automatically sent to them by email. Once joined, the status will change to 1.

To remove request: Click remove and they will no longer be able to join.
