About CIFChinmaya International Foundation (CIF), the Centre of Sanskrit Research and Indology, is the Academia of the Chinmaya Mission Worldwide. It is a centre of excellence for the study, research and dissemination of knowledge in the areas of Indian philosophy, culture, art and science, business management, both modern and ancient.
Started in the year 1989, CIF is housed at Adi Sankara Nilayam, the hallowed maternal birth home of the great saint, savant and philosopher Adi Sankara. Located in a small hamlet called Veliyanad in Ernakulam District, Kerala, India, CIF stands on an 8.3 acre plot of land amidst luxuriant sun blessed greenery, temple shrines and lotus and lily ponds. It offers an ambience that attracts aspirants who come in search of peace and solitude from the world over.
CIF is located in central Kerala, providing easy access to many ancient temples like Guruvayur , Kalady and sightseeing places like Allepey back waters, Kochi, Munnar, Thekkady, Kovalam.

One of the four premier Research Institutions of India that has been recognized by the Government of India as Shodha Sansthan or Centre for Excellence in Sanskrit Research
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi (the world's largest Open University) offers CIF's 'Easy Sanskrit Course' as its Certificate Course.
Recognized by Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, as Research Centres for its doctoral and PhD study programmes.
Currently developing a software Anusaaraka, for Natural Language Processing using Paniniyan Principles of Sanskrit Grammar in collaboration with University of Hyderabad and International Institute of Information Technology.*
Collaboration with AYUSH, Govt of India, for Digitizing Ayurveda manuscripts in Kerala.
Offers Postal and Online Courses on Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita and Sanskrit.
Publications on rare Sanskrit and philosophical works
Student friendly commentary on the Brahmasutra.*

Gurudev. Important construction projects have been planned for enhancing the facilities at CIF to dedicate unto HIS Lotus feet on this
