I came across a picture that I didn't really remember until I saw it again today after so many years. I believe it was clicked on my first birthday and there you were in the corner of the picture along with Victor and here we are looking at it again on your 75th birthday. How fast time as

passed.

I took a closer zoom of you, which I have attached and noticed with the passage of time, over the years you still look beautiful now, as you did back then, even with the snow white hair style. First of all I’d like to thank Valerie for re-connecting us through Facebook. Even though we haven’t met in person for many years now, you have always been on my mind and I have such fond memories of our good old days!

I have known you since the early days of my marriage, when we first met in Cola Colony in 1971. We spent many evenings together on the sand dunes sitting and talking about our lives. You told me a lot of things about you, your childhood and your marriage. Even though you went through tough times, you never let this reflect on your face or in your behavior. You took it all in your stride.

I wonder if you remember, in May 1972 I was expecting my first child and I was sick from nausea and vomiting most of the time. While Sham was at work, you came each morning to give me company, to feed me and to clean the mess I made. You looked after me like a mother. I will always love you for that!

Thank you for your presence in our lives. Count now, the75 candles on your birthday cake and think

of the ones yet to stand! Going down memory lane, I remember the first time ever I

met your family – at Aunty Teresa’s house in Panjim. Then, we met Victor who’d come along to our place in Parra. And I met and went shopping with Valerie in Bombay a few years later. Thereafter, there was a void for many years. Until we picked up contact again. Thank you for keeping in touch. For showing your caring and sharing especially during our own painful times when our dear ones departed. Though time and tide kept on and off, you have successfully maintained contact with us as being part of our Mum’s side of the family.

So thank you again – and may God’s choicest rest blessings upon you and your dear ones on this blessed occasion! Happy birthday once again!
