President’s Message

Hello Spring!

So happy that Spring is officially here. Let the warm weather just keep coming our way. I don’t know about you, but I find that warm weather makes me feel very creative. Now to remember to write all those wonderful ideas down on paper.

We have a great turnout for the crayon challenge. Who knew how difficult it could be to match a color of a crayon to fabric? AHHHH, Mauvelous, (yes, that is a color). Talk about taking me outside my comfort zone!

Our speaker in March was pretty impressive. I could never stand in front of a group and sing songs the way she did. It did bring lots of laughter and, as I looked around the room, I even caught some people singing along with her.

At our board meeting on March 28 we discussed the idea of making our May meeting a “Guild Members Only” meeting, the

reasoning being that since we do not have an outside speaker coming and we will have a town hall type conversation taking place, it really should be for members only. The board was in full agreement with the idea. Please get any topics to me by end of day on April 15.

The board created and passed a budget for 2019. Please review it as it is printed with the newsletter and bring any questions to the April meeting.

As a safety note, please remember that we should be leaving the building together after our meetings. No one should be walking to their car alone.

Enjoy the warm weather and have fun quilting. See you on April 11.
