BLACK SOAPSTONEAbout:Black Soapstone is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Brazil. Soapstone slabs are great for use as a countertop or around a fireplace. A hot pot can be placed directly on a soapstone counter-top without concern of burning the surface. Since it is composed primarily of talc, the acids in foods used for everyday cooking will not etch or stain this stone. Soapstone can scratch; there-fore, using a cutting board is required. Available in a variety of textures.

Natural Stone:Due to its density, soapstone is non-po-rous, naturally antibacterial, and stain resistant. For interior use we recom-mend protecting and enhancing the soapstone with a 100% natural product from either beeswax, mineral oil and/or Carnauba wax.
