SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

Mrs Stephenson has successfully applied for a transfer. We wish her all the best in her new school and

thank her for her contribution to Blacktown West. .

Where is Zero the Hero?

K-2 classes have been counting the number of school days this year. Every time it got to a “zero” day, their

hero appeared with a fun maths activity to help them with place value. Wednesday 3rd July marked 99

days. Awful Agent 99 came and too Zero for a walk. K-2 had to become secret number cruncher agents to

rescue Zero the Hero to celebrate 100 days of learning. They received an ID

card with their fingerprint, completed an obstacle course with large dice to

race to 100, built a tower out of 100 cups and built a creative LEGO

structure using 100 pieces of LEGO. Once all challenges were complete, the

class was presented with a clue. At the end of the day, all the clues were put

together to make a sentence to explain where Zero the Hero was – on top of

the basketball ring!

100 Days of School

Celebration

Thank you to all the K-2 parents who have joined their child to celebrate the 100 days of school. Teachers, students and parents worked together to play fun maths games to promote a love of numbers and a deeper understanding of place value. We are proud of what the students and teachers have achieved in the first 100 days of learning at school. We look forward to the next 100 days of learning at BWPS! What a fun day of number crunching!
