It’s a place where you can really feel away from it all, and yet at the same time the lovely town of Leamington Spa is around a five-minute drive away. In my opinion the location really couldn’t be much better.”

“The house we have now is totally unrecognisable from the one that we bought, we didn’t take it down and start again, but everything we could do, we have done. We wanted to create a really beautiful country house and a comfortable family home, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the result. In terms of the look of the house, we took inspiration from Mallory Court, a gorgeous Lutyens-style manor that’s now a luxury hotel. We’ve added large brick extensions to the front, back and sides, and we had the original part of the house beautifully rendered; the pitch of the roof has been raised and we’ve replaced the windows with gorgeous leaded lights. It’s now a very imposing family home and people are always very complementary about it, and you’d never guess that it was originally built in the 1960s.”

We’ve added features such as wood panelling and a grand central staircase with cantilevered balconies in the entrance hall to give it that country house feel, and out in the garden we’ve created a stunning parterre, which complements the look of the house perfectly. It really is everything we hoped it would be.”
