Occupying an enviable position on the North Norfolk coast, the BlakeneyHotel sits proudly in its magnificent quayside location, providing guests withunrivalled panoramic views across the salt marshes to Blakeney Point.
The Blakeney Hotel is a traditional, privately owned hotel which has built anoutstanding reputation over many years for high standards of hospitality andservice. The hotel exudes warmth and comfort, making it an ideal hideawayfor a relaxing break. The coastal location means that it is well situated forvisiting many of Norfolk’s attractions.
Rooms
The hotel has 60 individually decorated rooms. Many have wonderful views over the estuaryand salt marshes or south facing gardens; others have balconies with panoramic views orterraces leading on to the gardens. Depending on your requirements, choose between the morespacious rooms for families requiring extra beds, bunk beds or cots, single rooms,interconnecting rooms or ground floor rooms which are particularly suitable for guests whoenjoy holidaying with their dogs. All rooms have direct dial telephones, digital television, WiFi,beverage making facilities, hair dryers and bathrobes. The hotel has its own car park.
Food
The hotel’s restaurant, bar and terraceall have stunning panoramic views overthe estuary. Our menus use fresh,seasonal, locally sourced producewherever possible. Light lunches,sandwiches, seasonal à la carte anddaily changing menus are available forresidents and non residents. Inrecognition of the quality of the food the hotel has been awarded an AArosette for nine consecutive years.
The hotel has a wide and varied selection of wines from around theworld to complement our menustogether with a range of cocktails,draught beers and lagers.
Relax
The hotel has two comfortable, spacious sitting rooms. The upstairs sitting room has one ofthe best views along the North Norfolk coast. It is a great vantage point from which to observethe wildlife and the dramatic, ever changing Norfolk skyline. The downstairs sitting room hasan open log fire and is a perfect place to sit and relax and have homemade afternoon tea aftera brisk walk.
There is a modern and stylish leisure area which has a heated swimming pool and changingrooms, as well as a steam room, sauna, spa bath and an air conditioned mini-gym. The pooloverlooks the sun terrace and our well maintained south facing gardens.
Things to do
There are many walks along the Norfolk Coast Path over sandy beaches, salt marshes and cliffs.Places to visit include the halls at Blickling, Felbrigg, Holkham, Houghton and the royalresidence at Sandringham, as well as many historic Norfolk churches and charming villages.The towns of Holt, Aylsham, King’s Lynn and Norwich are full of history and interest. There aremany leisure pursuits to enjoy including: sailing, fishing, bird watching, kayaking, crabbing, mudsliding, cycling, tennis and golf and the ever popular boat trips to see the seals at Blakeney Point.Enjoy the variety of beaches along this beautiful coastline including those at Wells and Holkham.
