On Sunday, September 29th, we will have our parish picnic out at Sts. Peter and Paul Retreat Center with Mass held at 12:30 p.m. Due to the picnic and Mass, we will NOT have the Sunday
evening Mass at the Parish that night. I would like to invite and encourage those of you who may regularly come to the 5:00 p.m. Mass to join us for Mass at 12:30 p.m. at the picnic.
Bishop Brennan has called the priests of the diocese together for a convocation at the end of this month and, as priests of the diocese, we have not had a convocation in several years. The purpose of the convocation is for all priests to gather with the Bishop. As you are aware, the numbers of priests have been shrinking over the years due to retirement and death. I would ask for your prayers not only for me, but all priests of the diocese during this time and for an increase in vocations to the priesthood in the diocese of Columbus.

Our Parish & School Events
For your attention from Fr. Lonzo: As Fr. Wilson was departing in June, there was a parish wide survey taken in the pews regarding various future projects and improvements. Fr. Wilson shared this information and when I arrived I received the results of the survey. As you can imagine with moving it has been a bit hectic. I have been approached by a few of you asking about the results of this survey. I have read through the survey and have found positive feedback. As I am brand new at Blessed Sacrament, Iwouldliketofirstgettoknowthecommunityandwhatyouwould like to do in the future. With that said, over the next few months I will be consulting with the Finance committee, as well as a few other committees and parishioners, to get a better feel and scope of the survey results. It is my hope to share a brief summary of the results, which give a good “snap-shot” of the direction and energy of the Parish; and then work with financeandotherstohelpwithanoverallstrategicplanoverthe next few months to a year, in which we can all work toward the future of the Parish and School.

Daily Mass Schedule Next WeekAs all of the priest of our diocese gather together with our Bishop next week for their convocation, we will not have daily Mass from Tuesday, October 1st through Friday, October 4th. Youth Group KickoffKickoff for Blessed Sacrament Youth Group, grades 6-12, is Sunday, September 22nd in our Annex (411 E. Main Street). We are switching things up this year and meeting most Sundays from 6:00-8:00 p.m.! We are striving to build up the community of our
