Today we celebrate Christ the King and are reminded that all was created through

Him and for Him. Does my stewardship of the blessings entrusted to me give

Thank you for being

NEW PARISHIONERS:

On this Feast of Christ the King, our readings show us that we serve the greatest of Kings, who is at the same time the humblest of Kings. Christ is the perfect model of servant leadership. And it is an indescribable privilege that He has called us to be servant leaders — stewards in the work of advancing His Kingdom. In our second reading, from St. Paul’s letter to the Colossians, Paul describes the great power and dignity that characterize Christ the King. “All things were created through him and for him. He is before all things and in him all things hold together.” It makes you want to stand up and cheer. That’s our King! Yet, what a contrasting description of the same King we find in our Gospel passage, from Luke. Now, we see our King nailed to the Cross. Everyone from rulers, to soldiers, to the criminals on either side of Christ is mocking Him. They tauntingly urge Him to prove His kingship by coming down from the Cross to end His suffering with a great show of power. “if you are the King of the Jews, save yourself.” But He does not. Amazingly, it is in this moment of seeming weakness that the full breadth of His greatness as king is displayed. Though all things were created through and for Him — Christ chooses to live entirely for others, for us! What does this mean for us as His followers and stewards of His kingdom? Precisely that our lives are not about us. They are about Christ and others. And we will advance his kingdom to the extent that we embrace this mindset: my life is not about me; it is about serving the King of kings.

STEWARDSHIP COMMITMENT 2020 Thanks to all of you 420 who made their stewardship commitment in writing last weekend at all the masses. When you make a commitment in writing there is a much better possibility that you will carry it out day by day over the coming year. There is always time to bring back your stewardship pledge—unless you have children in one of our Catholic schools. Then you have to have your pledge in before the end of December. Otherwise it will be assumed you are going to pay tuition to the school. Please do not put it off. It creates too much extra work for our parish staff who already have enough work. Stewardship is for everyone—for young people who have no money but they do have time and talents—for young adults—for married couples with children—for families whose children are already out on their own—for single people—and especially for all seniors who may be retired—you never retire as a Christian. It is always our privilege to respond to God’s love with our time, talents and treasure. Feel good about your response.

CATECHISTS BICYCLES—63 NEEDED We are looking for 63 sponsors for catechists bicycles. Each bicycle costs $100.00. We already have 10 donated. Make your check out to Blessed Trinity and mark it “Bicycle.”

What Happens In A Charismatic Prayer Meeting?

It is… …Where the Ordinary encounters the Extraordinary; …Where 2 or 3 gather in that Holy Name and find themselves clothed in His Presence; …Where exhalant praise opens our hearts to receive His Love; …Where a deep quiet unlocks the Still Voice of God; …Where Sacred Scripture comes alive; …Where Communal Faith unleashes the Fire of the Holy Spirit. A Prayer of Thanksgiving

God, source and giver of all things, we give You thanks and all the glory on this Thanksgiving Day for the splendor and

majesty of creation.

We give You thanks for the blessings of family and friends: both those gathered

around this table and those who are present only in our hearts.

We give You thanks for this food,

prepared by loving hands, and for the graces You provide to nourish our

spirits, souls, and bodies so that we may continue to serve You passionately.

Help us to be faithful stewards of all we have been given. May we reflect Your

love and that which we have received to all those we meet, especially the less

fortunate in our midst.

Amen

A BLESSING TO TAKE HOME This Thanksgiving, at the 9:30am mass, bring the platter on which you will serve your turkey, your favorite pie cutter, or maybe your heirloom gravy boat, any item you want that represents your Thanksgiving. Hold on to it in your pew for a special blessing. Take it home to share with your loved ones.

COME TO MASS ON THANKSGIVING! What better way to thank our Lord for his many blessings than to celebrate with the community at Mass on Thanksgiving Day? The root meaning of the word “Eucharist” is “thanksgiving”. Mass in English on Thanksgiving Day is at 9:30am and the Spanish Mass is at 6:30pm. So, get up early, get the turkey in the oven, pack up the family and bring them all to Mass! Easy! Put God first. Your day will be much more fulfilling with your family.

COFFEE & DONUTS

Every Sunday in the Parish

Hall after the 7:10am,

8:45am and 11:00am

Masses. Please come and

support the various

ministries who provide the

coffee and donuts! Donations are welcome!

CHILDRENS OFFERINGS

It is time to encourage parents to encourage their

children to bring a gift for God each and every

week and bring it up to the Altar while adults

are being passed the collection basket. It does

not have to be money. It really should be their

gift. At present it is mostly pre-schoolers who

come. But the plan was for all youth—grade

school up to and including 12th grade—to come

to the Altar. Encourage them. It is a real life

learning experience.

NEXT UGANDA MISSION The date is set: June 21st to July 5, 2020 We are putting a limit on the number—30! Fr. Tobin and the Melbourne parish get 10 spots. So there are only 20 left. Plan now. No seat will be held without a deposit of $250.00. If you change your mind after you have made a de-posit, then we thank you for your $250.00 donation to our Sister Parish. Either way you win! There is a high possibility Bishop John Noonan will be going with us for the first week. He and the Bishop of Hoima will bless Trinity Catholic High School, Uganda which is 95% completed. He will also bless the recently finished teenage girls dorm and at least one of the two remaining village Churches still to be blessed. We would love to have a few doctors, dentists and RN’s join us for two medical clinics. There is work for everyone—regardless of your age or talents. Everyone fits in. You will be blessed more than those you came to minister to.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

The Immaculate Conception is a Holy Day of Obligation. There is often confusion surrounding the Immaculate Conception. By the name of the feast day, one would think we would celebrate the day Jesus was conceived. However, it is the day that the Blessed Mother Mary was conceived in the womb of her Mother, St. Ann.

HUMAN LIFE PROTECTION AMENDMENT

Attached to the bulletin today you will find a

“Constitutional Amendment Initiative Petition

Form.” Up to one million Florida registered voters

are needed to fill out and sign this form so that the

Amendment can be put before the Florida voters.

This Amendment seeks to make it illegal to abort a

baby once the baby has a heart beat.

While the Catholic Church fully believes all abortions

are against God’s law, at least this legal effort goes

along to strive to bring the vast majority of all

pregnancies to live birth.

Please fill out one form and one only if you are a

Florida registered voter. Hand in your completed

form at the table outside Church or at the Church

office.

CAN YOU SPEND 1 HOUR WITH JESUS?

Every Sunday at 3:00pm in the Adoration

Chapel we pray Divine Mercy Chaplet and the

Rosary. Please join us!!

Do you have a thought, idea, comment

for any of the staff of Blessed Trinity?!

We now have a "comment box" inside the

Stewardship Center. You can place those

comments in the box at any time and we will

make sure they get to the right staff member.

We hope this will be another helpful tool we

can use to keep building our parish community.
