6H" Triangle Square Up Ruler

Make (16) Pieced Triangle Squares

1. Layer the (2) 6H" x 6 ½" Background and Accent Purple squares right sides together.

2. Draw two diagonal lines in each square.

3. Sew G" from both sides of the diagonally drawn lines.

4. Cut on all drawn lines and in half vertically and horizontally.

Making the Four Corner Patches

1. Layout (4) 2I" Pieced Triangle Squares, (2) 2I" Background Squares, (2) 2I" Medium Blue Squares and (1) Center Purple Square. Place (4) in each stack.

5. Square up patches to 2I" using the 6H" Triangle Square up Ruler. Trim off tips and press seams towards the Purple.

6. Trim tips.

3. Sew the Rows together and press seam toward the Middle Row.

2. Sew to complete the Rows. Press seams away from the Pieced Triangle Squares and also away from the Middle Square.

Making the Lattice

1. Sew (1) 2I" x 13" Background Strip to each side of the Orange 2I" x 13" strip.

3. Cut Strip set into (4) 3" segments.

2. Press Seams away from the Orange.

Finishing the Block

1. Lay out all the Patches to complete the Block.

2. Sew together and press seams towards the Lattice.
