When composing your blog post, include many of the various features (or conventions) of the genre

that you came up with in group discussion:

1. Personal language, including personal experience

2. Author directly addressing the audience

3. Informal language

4. Short sentences

5. Telling a story to the audience

6. Rhetoric – lots of pathos used, including videos and images

7. Use of subtitles – bolded – for different sections

8. Short, block paragraphs

9. Connection with the audience

10. Questions to involve the audience

11. Ending with a short biography of the author

12. Some blogs use listing

13. Dialogue

14. Quotes
