A inbound-optimized blog is a collection of articles, or posts, that provide helpful, valuable, educational, and remarkable
content to potential customers. By providing this value, blogs can easily and
effectively draw prospects to your website.
YOU ARE A THOUGHT LEADER
• Think about your brand of your blog • Showcase your expertise and what you know on your blog • Your blog will make you trustworthy to employers • Use your blog in your resume • Show what you know to your prospective employers through your posts

• What do you like to do?
• What do you enjoy doing now that you aren’t working?
• What do you want to do daily that would make you happy?
• What do you know that others don’t know?
• What can you teach other women or people out there?
• You know things someone else doesn’t and there are people who want to read and learn from you
Step 2: Create a Persona
• Figure out who you want to be online based on the above
• Who are you targeting online to find you?
• What do you want to teach them?
• Think about keyword sets that those people would search to find you

• How can you help them?• How does your post align with a job you

• Blog 2 times a week • Write about things that are relevant to what you want to do • Write helpful posts that are searchable • Use social media to find people to share your content with • Attend events in the spaces you want to get into and write
posts about what you learned• Interact with other bloggers to help get them to link to you
and share your content • Keep at it!
What Should I Write About- IDEAS….
• Events that are in the space you want to get into- Attend them and then write about what you learned
• Follow industry news online through twitter, Google alerts, etc. so you can write creative posts on those things
• Follow LinkedIn groups in spaces you want to get into and post your articles there
• Write down ideas that you come up with daily to help you think up good ideas to blog about- notes in iPhone
• You learn something new everyday – blog about that
Remember just because you think it is boring or everyone knows it, you are WRONG! People out there want to know what you know.
