L.I. To plan a trip

School is going to look a little different today as we are going on a class trip to....

DISNEYWORLD FLORIDA!

Task 1 Miss Melrose and Miss Hesp are SO EXCITED for our trip. However, first we need to get there. Have a look at the flight prices and see if you can work out how much it will cost for your whole class to go? (Don’t forget your teacher!)

Extension – how much will it cost for P5h and P5m to go? Miss Melrose, Miss Hesp, Mr Kerr, Mrs Magee and Mrs White will be coming too!

Task 2 Phew – we're tired after all of that travelling! Time to check in to our hotel. Ask the members of your household to describe their dream hotel. What makes it so special? Does it have a fancy swimming pool? Are the beds three times the size of a normal bed?

Your task is to design a poster advertising a dream hotel.

Task 3 We’re feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep. It’s time to check out the park! First we need to buy tickets.

Scroll around and find Walt Disney World Resort, then click on Magic Kingdom Park and finally Cinderella Castle. Imagine what it would be like to live in a castle just like the one on your screen. In your jotters or on Microsoft Word, write an imaginative story in the first person about an exciting adventure that takes place in the castle. Remember to use ambitious vocabulary to describe the characters and the castle (hint – remember your senses!).
