Blood Tube Labeling is CriticalApplying even a superior label incorrectly to a blood tube can still lead to the label

flagging or barcodes that are unreadable by automated machines. If that happens,

tubes are rejected from the automated testing process and they must be processed

manually. This requires a new label to be printed or a new sample must be taken from

the patient, which can be painful. In either case, the analysis takes longer, test results

will be slowed and diagnoses delayed.

TubeLoc™adhesive – Specially formulated to create a stronger bond with glass and plastic.

IncuScan™coating – Technically engineered to easily conform around test tubes and to with- stand exposure to the high temperatures and humidity of incubators without fading.

Simplyslidingyourfingeroverthelabelfromthebottom of the tube to the top during application is very effective in increasing the number of samples thatcanbeprocessedbyautomatedanalyzers. Movingfrombottomtotopkeepsthefingerin contact with the label from edge to edge, ensuring

a good seal. Going in the other direction requires thefingerto“stepdown”fromtheedgeofthecap,whichcanmakethefingermisscontactwithone edge – leaving NO seal. And, an edge with no seal can lead to labels flagging and jamming equipment.
