The Bloomberg Arts Internship begins with a required four day Orientation July 1, 2, 3 and 5 from 9:00 to 4:00 each day. (JULY 4 IS A HOLIDAY!) The first six weeks of the internship include 3 days at the worksite and 2 days of professional development—35 hours a week, from Monday, July 8 through Friday, August 16. The last two weeks of the internship include 5 days at the worksite—35 hours a week from Monday, August 19 through Friday, August 30.

THIS IS A NINE WEEK PROGRAM! One week of Orientation and 8 weeks of the internship. You must be available for the full nine-week length of the program, including Orientation. Please make sure that you don’t have any conflicts due to sports schedules, family vacations, etc.

The Bloomberg Arts Internship is an arts career and work readiness program designed to promote and help young people go to college and stay in school. I understand that if I am selected to participate in this program:

• The time commitment calls for full-time work for 8 weeks, July 8-August 30 with four additional Orientation days July 1, 2, 3, and 5.

• I will be available for the full 9-week length of the program, including Orientation. I will make sure that I don’t have any conflicts due to sports schedules, family vacations, etc.

• I will receive an hourly wage of $10.10 for 308 hours total which includes orientation and the 8-week internship. Young Audiences may contact me after the program ends to see how I am doing in school and in my professional development.

• I pledge to: Be an active and engaged participant in all activities, attend all scheduled trainings and work placement sessions, and fulfill all work requirements throughout the internship period.
