BLUE PLAQUE FOR GEORGEA BLUE PLAQUE HAS BEEN UNVEILED IN PENGE AT THE FORMER HOME OF AMAN CONSIDERED TO BE THE FINEST WATCHMAKER OF HIS LIFETIME.George Daniels CBE was commemorated in August by the Worshipful Companyof Clockmakers who gathered outside his old property in Thornsett Road. GeorgeDaniels, who died in 2010 and lived in the house for 20 years, is widely regardedas one of the most important men the world of horology has ever seen. He was acustomer of H.S.Walsh & Sons for many years and well known to Paddy Walsh,the founder of our company.

Renaissance® wax polish was originallyformulated in the British Museumresearch laboratories in the early1950's. In accelerated ageing tests, theBritish Museum found that all currentcommercial waxes based on the usualnatural waxes (beeswax and carnaubawax) contained acids which in time,could spoil the original finishes onhistoric collections of furniture.Renaissance® is a fossil or micro-
crystalline wax which is much finer thannatural waxes and completely acid free(pH neutral). When applied thinly andbuffed to full lustre, the wax filmremains clear, with no discolouration.Widely used in the professional
restoration of arms and armour,sculpture, ceramics, marble, brass andcopper cookware, automobile paintwork, leather and other fine artsurfaces.
