ROLE OF RECREATION THERAPY

Educate Veterans and families regarding adaptive sports,

recreation and leisure

Assist individuals with renewing leisure activities that they

enjoyed prior to their injury

Teach new leisure skills

Introduce adaptive leisure equipment and modify activities

as appropriate
