We have two very unique clubs in our Gaming Club and Cartooning Club. The groups of students for these two clubs likely cross over and attend both, but both clubs do a wonderful job integrating our students back into the school community. Our Gaming Club competes against each other in some serious video gaming, which might very well be an IHSA club or esport in the near future. Maybe well win the first state title? And, our Cartooning Club brings in all sorts of unique people and games to create an incredibly interactive club (think anime, cartoonists, movies, guest speakers, card games, and more.) It's almost testing season! As we get closer to the big test day, there are a few activities that students will need to complete before they can test. Below you will find a few dates that are important for you as parents and also for students to be aware of. As we get closer to March, be on the lookout for more detailed information about testing. March 2 - All AP fees due March 31 - Pre-Admin session 1 (For SAT, PSAT 10) April 2 - Pre-Admin session for students absent from session 1 April 14 - PSAT9/PSAT10/PSAT Test April 28 - Testing make up day for all three grade levels May 4-8 - AP Week 1 May 11 - 15 - AP Week 2 New this year, all parents must consent to their son or daughter completing any pre-administration activities prior to the pre-administration session. This is very important because this is how many students are matched with colleges, scholarships and other resources to help all students work toward post-high school goals. The consent form was sent in an email from Dr. Vallicelli. Use that e-mail or the link below to complete the form FOR EACH CHILD participating before March 25. Any students without a signed consent form will have to complete an alternative pre-administration session. Consent form link: https://forms.gle/7jJH6TgxN1HzeHATA Please reach out to Tanya Thomas, test coordinator, at [email protected] with questions.

Market Day is back!

For those of you who have ordered Market Day in the past, and for those of you who haven’t (but you should!), Market Day has made a return. The simplicity makes this one of the easiest things you’ll do all month! Now you can order whenever you want (not just once a month), and Market Day DELIVERS items to your door. No making sure you head to the school at a specific time each month. Isn’t that awesome?! Please note that at this time, not everything we loved to order in past from Market Day is available. But there are still some awesome items you’ll want every month and items are added continually! Here’s how to order: CLICK HERE to register. Under “Choose Your School,” click on Woodstock HS Class of 2022, get yourself signed up, and order away! The December specials weren’t available at the deadline time for this newsletter but be sure to go online and check them out yourself. Just go to https://www.marketdaylocal.com/ If you have any questions, please email Mandy Chonos at [email protected] or Cathy Buhrow at [email protected].

The Class of 2023 will be selling the Perfect Storm Discount Card as a prom fundraiser. The card offers discounts on restaurants and area businesses. The price is $5.00. All the proceeds go to the Class of 2023. The discount card can be used daily and is good until September 30, 2020. If you are interested in purchasing one they are available in the WHS Main Office, or you can email Steve Thompson at [email protected]!
