We want to share the healthcare savings we’ve created for members like you. Your employer has given you the opportunity to sign up for our limited network plan, BlueSelect Plus.

Members who live in the metropolitan Kansas City area can benefit from the savings of BlueSelect Plus when they visit a BlueSelect Plus hospital or provider. Those who live in our 32-county service area, but do not live in the metropolitan Kansas City area are eligible to enroll in BlueSelect Plus, but must visit a BlueSelect Plus hospital or provider for benefits to be paid at the in-network level. Outside the 32-county Blue KC service area, BlueSelect Plus members are covered under BlueCard PPO coverage.

Members have choices in physicians and other healthcare providers. You can search online for physicians and other healthcare providers by visiting the Blue KC website at BlueKC.com, clicking Find a Doctor, and selecting BlueSelect Plus as the network. Members must use a BlueSelect Plus plan provider to get the highest level of benefits.

There are more than 2,943 unique healthcare providers from which to choose.

3. How do I know if BlueSelect Plus is a good fit for me?

If you live in the metropolitan Kansas City area, you can benefit from the savings of BlueSelect Plus when you visit a BlueSelect Plus hospital or provider. You are also eligible to enroll if you live in the Blue KC 32-county service area, but outside the metropolitan Kansas City area – but must visit a BlueSelect Plus hospital or provider for benefits to be paid at the in-network level.

Yes. Outside the 32-county Blue KC service area, BlueSelect Plus members are covered under BlueCard PPO coverage. For example, if you reside in the Kansas City area, but spend time in Florida during the winter, you could still choose BlueSelect Plus, but would visit a BlueCard provider when you are in Florida.
