SEO – Initial Check List:
Check the presence of Google analytics code in Head Section - while running PPC
URL Canonicalization issue - Redirect "non www" versions to "www" versions using301- redirection.
Check for different versions of home page (like index, home, default, etc.) andperform a 301 redirect to TLD.
Webmaster accounts in Google & Bing should be created.
Errors in the webmaster accounts should be cleared at the earliest.
Check for Robots.txt file - The robots file should be available on website.
Check for XML sitemap - create one with all the valid URLs of website.
HTML Sitemap should be made available on the website.
Check for presence of Custom 404 error page.
