Overview

Downer Engineering recently secured

and implemented the removal and

installation of BNZ branch server

cabinets through a joint service

delivery, in contract with Gen-I.

To successfully provide a results

focused solution for our client and

meet the high demand requirements,

Downer Engineering and Gen-I

completed “dry runs” to document a

strategic implementation plan to allow

suitable risk mitigation prior to service

delivery.

Downer Engineering took ownership

of removing the existing server

cabinets and the installation of new

hardware. From this point, Gen-I

completed software upgrades/testing,

resulting in an end to end solution for

BNZ.

With BNZ’s IT business continuity

sustained by the operation of the

servers involved with this project,

resulted in a high demand mission

critical environment involving multiple

parties and open channels of

communication between Downer

Engineering, Gen-I and BNZ IT staff.

Downer Engineering provided a

central point of contact for all

project management, providing

consistent high levels of service

delivery.

This project was completed over

several months with the utilisation

of a core team operating via our

Wellington operation.

Total value of the project $359k
