The Louisiana Board of Ethics, at its October 15, 2015 meeting, considered an investigation
report regarding whether you a Sulphur High School Baseball Coach, received compensation from
thl Association (booster ciub) for coaching *a th. personal use of a cell phone and i-pad in violation
of La. R.S.42:1111A.
La. R.S. 42:ll11A prohibits a public employee from receiving anything of economic value,
other than compensation and ^benefits
from the governmental entity to which he is duly
entitled, for the perfonnance of the duties and responsibilities of his office or position'
While the Board is still of the belief that a violation may have occurred, the Board has decline
to pursue any enforcement action against you, based upon the totality of the circumstances, in
particutar the fact that there is no orgoirrg violation as these practices were immediately discontinued
upon notice of a potential violation. Therefore the Board has instructed me to close the file'
