elcome everyone, to the first issue of Boardwalk Magazine. As we are putting the finishing touches on the issue and preparing to print, I’ve been pushing writing this intro-duction off hoping for some great inspiration on what to write. What can I write that would sum it all up? The whole time that answer has been right in front of me. I’ve had a lot of folks asking; “What is Boardwalk Maga-zine about?” Well... It’s right in the tagline on the cover. Boardwalk Magazine is about people, places, food, etc. It’s about you. It’s about us. Boardwalk is a magazine for ev-eryone. Not just the folks who live here. Not just for those from out of town. Everyone.

That being said, I want you to think of this magazine you’re holding in your hands as a baby. It’s brand new, with it’s whole life in front of it. Throughout this year the publication will be changing and grow-ing, bringing in new articles that will ap-pear in each issue, such as A Day In The Lifewhcih will be exactly what it sounds like, an journalistic look into lives of people in the area, like Life Gaurds or commercial fishermen.

We would love to hear your suggestions and commernts (head over to our facebook page) on what to cover in the future. Feel free to clue us into events that may warrant coverage, or new restaurants, or recipes, or anything really.

To close I’d like to thank everyone who has sup-ported the creation and operation of this maga-zine. It’s lived as an idea since back in 2011, but we’ve finally brought it to fruition and I have to say it’s a proud moment. It couldn’t have been done without that support. So, Thank you from myself and everyone at Boardwalk Magazine

W

Amos Mosquito’s Continued from pg.11 So, if you are a local, hopefully you’ve learned a little more about one of our area’s most popular restaurants. If you happen to be from out of town this should help give you an idea of what is in store for you if you’re headed to Amos for the first time. Their family friendly atmosphere and genuinely nice and helpful staff will be waiting to welcome you as soon as you enter the front door. Enjoy.

Amos Mosquito’s is located at 703 East Fort Macon Blvd. in Atlantic Beach, NC. You can reach them at (252) 247-6222. Although they do not take reservations there is plenty of waiting area both inside and out to enjoy a drink or two while you wait. It’s worth it.
