Our body is composed of water, fat, bone and muscles. Divided into: Fat free mass- i.e. non fat elements which constitutes bone, muscle, water and tissues. Body fat- i.e. essential and non essential fats. This body fat contributes 5% of total body weight in men and 12% in women.

Visceral fat / abdominal fat is a type of fat that exists in the abdomen and surrounds the internal organs.

It is different from sub-cutaneous fat which builts up under the skin.

Sub-cut.fat has less negative impact on health.

Based on WHR,our body is divided into normal,pear shaped,or apple shaped.

Apple shaped people tend to gain weight mostly in the abdomen.They are at increased risk of health problems associated with obesity.

Pear shaped people tend to gain weight in hips and buttocks. Even they should keep their weight within normal limits to avoid health problems.
