Gray, Sr., Principal Re: Distribution of Alcohol on Campus It was reported to me by the District's Professional Standards Administrator, Tom Schatte, that the spouse of a Shoemaker High School teacher had complained to him that you had given the teacher a small vial of alcohol as part of a Christmas present. When I met with you concerning the complaint, you informed me that you had given the small bottle of alcohol to some of the staff members. You stated that you did not realize that it was wrong to do so. You said that the alcohol and a set of Christmas napkins were given as gifts. It is my findings that even though the small vials of alcohol were given to staff members as Christmas gifts, you did violate the KISD Employee Standards of Conduct DH(Local) - A which states that: Employees shall not manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess, use or be under the influence of alcohol or any alcoholic beverages. Attached to this memorandum is a copy of the above mentioned policy for you to review and directed to follow.
