BECKER BULLETINYoga Under the Stars!!!

Our next Parent Involvement Night will be held on January 24th, from 6:00-7:00. This month, we will be focused on family fitness!

This fun-filled evening focusing on health and fitness will be led by our substitute teacher, and certified yoga instructor, Jennifer Sacket. Come and join us as we do yoga under the stars! All you need in order to participate is a yoga mat, towel, comfortable clothes, and sneakers. Children may participate, or stay with the HLA care provider.

The Week In Review Miscellaneous

SS: We are almost done with Ch. 3, which concentrates on the European colonization of the Americas. Testing will be at the end of next week, or early the following week.ELA: This week, we covered theme, inferring, predicting, tenses, and the prefixes, “circ-” and “circum-.”Math: We’re still on Ch. 6, but are now dividing decimals. Please keep working on multiplication facts at home!Science: Students are currently studying Ch. 3, which covers Earth and Space.

Word of the Week:Our word of the week was “considerate.” When you are considerate of others, you take someone else’s feelings into account before making a decision. This often makes the other person feel loved and respected.

RemindersScience Fair:Attached to this edition of the Becker Bulletin is this week’s Science Fair assignment. Due next Friday, students will need to create an Essential Question and Statement of Purpose.Helping Hands 100 th Day Project :For our 100th day of school, we are challenging every student to bring in five cans or boxes of nonperishable food that we can donate to our local food bank. Help us help our community and donate by 1/29!

Students should neatly write each of the following words with large, legible print on the index cards sent home today. In addition, they need to mark all their words before class on Tuesday.
