Logos Bible StudyBook Sequence for the Unabridged Course

I teach the entire Bible, Genesis – Revelation, in the sequence below. I do so for two reasons. First, the course takes approximately 7 years to complete (meeting weekly for 2 hours each class meeting), and most people are more familiar with the New Testament than with the Old Testament: thus, I have to get to the New Testament FAST! If I taught straight through, it would be year 4 before we got to Matthew! Second, by weaving back & forth between OT & NT, I can weave the fabric of Scripture, illustrating how the OT foreshadows the NT and NT fulfills the OT.

This is the planned sequence below. In reality, I vary from the sequence somewhat depending upon the audience, time constraints (holidays/vacations/teaching tours/etc.), and so on. The sequence is not cast in concrete. Sometimes the mood of the class presses me to break the sequence and move ahead out of sequence. That’s OK.
