BOOKENDS: AN EVENING OF POETRY WITH MARY LOU BUSCHI NOVEMBER 16, 2012 AT 6:00 PM SCPS, 7 East 12 th Street, Student Lounge THE BOOK OF COMING (OR GOING) Mary Lou Buschi lives in Larchmont, New York. Her poems have appeared or are appearing in Willow Springs, CURA: A Literary Magazine of Art and Action, The Laurel Review, Indiana Review, Cream City Review, The Collagist, Pank, Tar River Poetry, among others. Her chapbook, The Spell of Coming (or Going) was selected as the winner of The NYC Siren Series and will be published in the winter of 2012 by Patasola Press. Mary Lou has received fellowships from The Santa Fe Writer’s Conference, Vermont Studio Center, and The New York City Teaching Fellows. Currently, she is a special education teacher in the Bronx and an adjunct writing instructor for the Paul McGhee Division of New York University. Mary Lou is also a mentor for new teachers through the Teaching Resident Program at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. She earned an MFA in Poetry from the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers and a Masters of Science in Urban Education from Mercy College.
