Do it better, not bigger
18 hectares in two DOCs- Collio and
Isonzo- in Italy’s northeastern most region
Friuli. Here, along the border with
Slovenia, the hills meet the river plains of
the Isonzo and Judrio rivers. It is here
that our wines are born.
Keeping it small teaches you select and
reflect

The value of heritage
The land is an inheritance and we have a
duty to preserve it. On our grandfather’s
lands we have embraced the best
practices of biodynamic viticulture and
have always left grass cover in the
vineyards to check the vigor of the vines in
check and preserving the natural balance
of the soils.

think it…
then do it.
Green harvesting and crop thinning.
Manual harvest at ripeness. Long
fermentation on the lees. Malolactic
fermentation. Bottling unfiltered.
These are the keys to preserving the
crunchy freshness which we want to be
the hallmark of Borgo San Daniele wines.

Wine with a memory
Making sustainable choices drives us on.
We do not use chemical preparations in
our vineyards- only copper sulfites and and
infusions of equisetum and dandelion.
During vinification we usa a small scale
solera system to recuperate parts of the
yeast that we then use to inoculate new
musts- thus preserving the wine’s DNA
over time

wine unplugged
Jiasik Bianco
Jiasik RossoJiasik is the name of a small hamlet near
Borgo San Daniele where life seems to be
move slower and where the sound of the
nearby Judrio dominates over the bustle of
cars. We wanted to replicate this life in a
wine- an unplugged wine for casual
moments.

Arbis Blanc
Arbis RòsBorn as homage to the grass-covered
vineyards and to the Friulan language we
speak. Arbis (herbs in the Friulano language)
smelled of earth before it smelled of wine. Our
vision of the top that Friuli can offer.

Who is Borgo San Daniele?
Borgo San Daniele is the materialization of our
passion that has deep and traditional roots and
infuses our daily lives with scents and flavors. The
vineyards reveal to us the wisdom and the fascination
of nature. In the cellar tasting a wine that is aging
inspires those few words that start the day off on the
right path. Every vintage has a season that we guard
and bottle. We love that a wine turns back the
seasons, but at the same time it imposes itself on
them with its own times of waiting, of caring, of work
and fruitfulness. We love the patience of waiting for
the grape as it grows and ripens on the vine. We love
to lay aside its juice and wait for all the time it needs
to become wine. A wine of the soil- our soil- from a
countryside that fills one’s gaze with its natural
beauty.
