In 1995 I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Renewable Natural Resources with emphasis in
Rangeland Management. Coarse work included topics in Rangeland Management, Rangeland
Improvements, Wildlife Management, Silviculture, Plant Physiology, Botany, Watershed Management,
Natural Resource Policy, Natural Resource Measurements, as well as all prerequisite coursework
required by the University. Deans List College of Agriculture 19940-1995.

ZZ Cattle Corporation
Nogales, Arizona
ZZ Cattle Corporation is a ranching operation, which has been in existence since the late 1930’s. The
operation consists of four Forest Service Grazing Allotments, one Stateland grazing permit and
considerable private land. I was employed as a part time Ranch hand / cowboy while furthering my
education after high school. 1995 began as Ranch / Range Manager. I was elected president in 2003
and still serve in that capacity.

Governors Rangeland Technical Advisory Council
On December 9th, 1999, Arizona Governor Jane Dee Hull established the Council with the charge of
reviewing Rangeland Models for Estimating Carrying Capacity used by the United States Forest
Service on Arizona Forests. After meeting with all the Forests. a report with the council’s findings was
prepared and delivered to the governor on January 6, 2001.
