LOCATION Boscundle Manor is situated on the edge of a semi-rural hamlet close to the world-renowned Eden Project and within easy reach of the town of St Austell and the superb beaches along St Austell Bay. The immediate surroundings are a wooded valley which provides access to some fantastic country walks along the ‘clay trails’ which link up with the Eden Project. To the south lies St Austell Bay with beautiful beaches to be enjoyed at Carlyon Bay, Duporth, Porthpean and Par. Porthpean has its own sailing club and water sports centre hiring kayaks and paddle boards etc. The picturesque port of Charlestown nearby, offers excellent restaurants, local inns and shops and has been much used in films, TV series and adverts, most notably, recently, featuring in several editions of the Poldark series. Par Beach to the east has large sand dunes, a long sandy beach and a nature reserve with lake to the rear. Beyond Par lies the picturesque port of Fowey with its deep natural harbour, sailing clubs, picturesque streets of shops and further cafes, restaurants and local inns. Fowey also hosts an annual regatta which regularly features the Red Arrows aerial display team. From Fowey there is access up the river to the rivers Lerryn and Lostwithiel providing a wonderful playground for sailing and pleasure craft enthusiasts, whilst the sailing club regularly hosts sailing races within the waters of St Austell Bay.
