Capacity limits and safetyDue to Coast Guard passenger limits, ferries are prohibited from transporting more than the stated capacity for each vessel. Please arrive early, as the purchase of a ticket cannot guarantee boarding. When riding and disembarking, please follow safety instructions and procedures provided by the crew. If you have concerns or questions regarding a safety issue, a crew member will be glad to assist you.

OnboardFor the comfort of all passengers, please keep conversation volumes to a minimum. Wear head phones when using cell phones or electronic devices. Smoking is not allowed.It’s ok to bring a bike on the ferry at any time. If you’d like to bring a dog or service animal, please be sure they are leashed or crated, do not occupy seats, or disturb customers. Domestic pets should be transported in an enclosed animal carrier.Restrooms are available on all ferries except the Charlestown to Boston ferry.

Info to knowTickets and usagePlease purchase fares prior to boarding at the Hingham Shipyard Ticket Office, on the dock, or via the mTicket app. Take a moment to store tickets in a safe place when not in use, as lost or torn tickets are unable to be replaced.

Parking and connecting bus routesParking is available at the Hingham Shipyard. For connecting MBTA bus routes: In Hull, use bus route 714 to get to Hingham Center. In Hingham, bus route 220 goes to Quincy Center. And in Charlestown, bus route 93 goes to Sullivan Square and Downtown Crossing. Schedules are available on mbta.com.

Georges IslandAll service to Georges Island on the F2H operates seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend.On the ferry, please let a crew member know you’d like to be dropped-off at Georges Island. On Georges Island, please let a park ranger know what ferry you prefer for the return trip.
