Upholstered Stack Chairs If you’re looking for upholstered stack chairs in a complete spectrum of styles, colors and finishes, Virco’s got you covered with four popular models. Two of these chairs (models 8915 & 8925) give you a 2” crown seat with high-density foam for extra comfort, while the remaining two are outfitted with a 2” dome seat.

Models can be ordered in a rainbow of frame finish and upholstery selections, giving you dozens of color combinations. Moreover, the economical model 8926 offers three additional vinyl upholstery alternatives.

Each of these products features Virco’s rugged 7⁄8” tubular steel frame, complemented by a rear-leg H-brace and an underseat cross bar for added support. Thanks to this sturdy construction, all four models meet applicable ANSI/ BIFMA standards for strength, durability and stability.

Each of these chairs features a sturdy 7⁄8” steel frame that’s reinforced with multiple U-shaped leg braces for extra strength. Virco offers a full range of folding chairs, from the simple to the sophisticated.

For an outstanding value in a basic, budget-priced chair, our model 162 is an excellent choice. For more intensive applications, model 167 chairs feature an additional rear leg brace, while the model 165 comes with a folding tablet arm. Locking Mechanism for Wishbone and C-Leg Designs

Virco’s patented locking mechanism adds strength, security and convenience to our wishbone and C-leg designs. When setting up tables, simply unfold each leg with an outward motion to extend the hinges and engage the gravity-lock pin. To return legs to a folded position, set the table on its side and push the gravity-lock pin toward the table top. This will disengage the pin from its locked position, allowing you to easily complete the folding process.

When the table is not in use, a spring clip locks table legs in a folded position. Our patented corner supports give the top sur-face added pro-tection while stacking.

Mobile Bench and Stool Table Features

Clearance between table tops helps avoid pinched fingers on all 12’ models.

Every Virco bench and stool table has an indi-vidual locking mechanism designed to hold it in place when in use. These models are also equipped with an up-lock device that engages when the table is folded.

Mobile Bench and Stool TablesWhen it comes to mobile tables with built-in seating, Virco’s 8’, 10’ and 12’ models are strong on convenience and flexibility. Specially designed torsion bars help you fold and unfold our 12’ bench and stool tables quickly and smoothly. Heavy-duty wheel assemblies facilitate trans-portation. These tables also have up-lock and down-lock mechanisms, and are UL® listed. Thanks to these features, set-up and tear-down are greatly simplified. No special storage equipment is required.

Tables with 15” high benches or stools work well for grades 1-5, while units with 17” seat heights are best for upper grades and adults.

4000 Series Activity TablesVersatile 4000 Series activity tables are at your service with 25 different standard-leg models. At home in classrooms, training rooms, workrooms and mail-rooms, these tables are especially great for cooperative learning environments. Selected models, like the 48KID72 shown on the next page, have a seating area that’s particularly appropriate for use by an instructor.

Sturdy 11⁄8” thick table tops feature a Fusion Maple, Medium Oak, Walnut or Grey Nebula high-pressure laminate fin-ish. Table edges are cushioned with pro-tective T-mold banding. This 4000 Series station is great for small groups that need lots of space. For example, two trapezoid tables can be read-ily positioned to provide six students with a generous work area. To form this station you’ll need two model 48TRAP84 tables and two tie plates (model UGANG).

Virco’s model 48KID72 kidney table (above) brings teachers and students closer together for enhanced collaborative learn-ing. Round and clover shaped tables also facilitate group activities.

Book Box - UBOOKIf you choose to use 4000 Series tables as class-room desks, book boxes give your students a handy compartment for textbooks and other study aids. Dimensions are 15” wide x 14” deep x 41⁄2” high. Book boxes have a Char Black finish.

Tote Tray - UTOTETote trays provide convenient storage space for a variety of items. They’re constructed of high-impact plastic and can be mounted beneath the work surface on optional metal runners. Dimensions are 12”W x 16”D x 4”H. Sturdy metal runners are easily mounted beneath the work surface, giving you quick access to optional tote trays. Tote trays and tote tray runners have a Char Black finish.

Tie Plate Pack - UGANGTie plates provide firm, semi-permanent connec-tions between adjoining tables or shelves. Each pack contains 2 steel tie plates and 12 screws.

By popular demand, Virco’s generously sculpted, super-comfortable Sage™ Series now provides a variety of pre-school through adult-learning seating solutions. Originally conceived by the award-winning team of Peter Glass and Bob Mills for use in high schools, colleges, universities and related settings, customer satisfaction with Sage inspired the development of additional models to complement early learning, elementary and middle school environments.

Along with its original adult-height models, Sage now offers a 13” and a 15” 4-leg chair, and a corresponding pair of cantilever chairs. An adjustable bowfront work surface with a front-to-back movement range of 12” to 17” allows people of all body types to comfortably read, write or use laptops in the ErgoCombo. Future Access®

Virco designed Future Access® furniture to facilitate classroom computing. Space-saving half round tables help you create computer islands and peninsulas that let students work collaboratively. 48” half round tables can be positioned at the end of rows consisting of 24” wide tables to hold printers and related support equipment. 60” half round tables can be used in a similar fashion to complement 30” wide tables. Every half round table is protected with sturdy bullnose edge banding.

All Future Access tops feature cool Grey Nebula high-pressure laminate surfaces. The laminate extends over the post-formed front and rear edges of rectangular tops, while their side edges have a flat, 3 mil. PVC surface for smooth, uniform alignment with other tables. All rectangular tops of 48” and longer are strengthened with at least one bottom-mounted steel stiffener to help support the weight of computer equipment.

Science TablesFor schools that specify steel-frame sci-ence tables, Virco has a great range of choices. Seven top sizes are available in fixed-height and adjustable-leg configu-rations; you can even choose adjustable tables with casters! Selected models come with a premium epoxy top finish, while all table styles can be ordered with a durable Chemsurf® high-pressure lami-nate surface that’s both chemical- and acid-resistant.

Virco’s durable, water-resistant Sure Edge® optional finish is now available for an expanded range of tables, student desks and combo units.

Sure Edge forms a seamless, chemically bonded seal that prevents food particles from lodging in table-top edges. As a urethane-based sealant that’s applied with an innovative anti-bacterial process for extra cleanliness, Sure Edge won’t peel or flake; it even resists fading when exposed to direct sunlight.

For years, we’ve offered the urethane-based Sure Edge as an option on our mobile cafeteria tables. But now, in response to customer requests, we’re offering an array of 8700 Series and 4000 Series table models with the Sure Edge finish. In addition, selected combo units and student desks from our Metaphor®, 9000 Classic Series™, 785 Series and other product lines with 18” x 24” high-pressure laminate tops are available with Sure Edge. Please consult your 2009 Virco price list for the availability of specific models.

General Product Information

Limited WarrantyVirco warrants that it’s products shall be free of all substantial defects in original material and workmanship that may become evident within ten (10) years from the date of purchase and (5) years from date of purchase on torsion bars. This limited warranty does not cover apparent defects caused by abusive or abnormal use of the product, or failures result-ing from inadequate inspection and maintenance. Virco may repair or replace, at it’s option, any portion of the subject product which proves to be defective under the terms of this limited warranty at no further cost to the buyer. THERE ARE NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY, AND THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES BEYOND THE WARRANTIES EXPRESSED HERE . Virco shall be liable under this limited warranty only for the cost or, at its option, the repair or replacement of defective products. All incidental or consequential damages which may arise, including but not limited to business losses, personal property damage, and third party liabilities are hereby expressly excluded. Also expressly excluded under this warranty are glides, vinyl and fabric upholstery material, except as may be offered by the mill source.

Care & Use InstructionsNOTICE: To prevent structural failures and possible injury, furniture should not be used other than for its intended purpose and should be inspected regularly for loose or missing screws or rivets, metal fatigue, cracks, broken welds, missing attachments, loose staples, and general instability. Furniture that is damaged or appears to be unstable should immediately be removed from service, reported to the facility manager, and replaced or repaired. Repairs should only be made using factory-authorized parts and methods. For information on fur-niture maintenance, or to report furniture which requires service, call Virco toll-free at 1-800-448-4726. Furniture should be wiped down with mild soap and water as needed.

Guidelines for Stacking & Moving FurnitureThe number of pieces of furniture that can be safely stacked or moved on Virco’s mobile storage equipment will vary depending on many factors, including the fur-niture’s height, weight and general design; the speed at which the unit will be moved; the terrain over which it will travel; and the strength of the operator(s). Care should be taken not to stack to the point of unsteadiness. Virco recommends starting with small, easily handled loads and adding one to two pieces of furniture at a time to determine the safe capacity for each set of conditions. Use Virco mobile storage equipment with appropriate Virco furniture only.
