1. General characteristics

• To make your bottom hung windows extra secure against burglary, you should use the high security system SALTO SAFE 4328.

• Dependent on the window dimensions you should use the following sets: - base set n° 4328 for:

- vent width Fb=750-1200 mm and - vent height Fh=900-1200 mm page E12.12.04.

- vertical centre locking set n° 4028-30 for vent height Fh=1200-1800 mm page E12.12.05. - vertical centre locking set n° 4028-31 for vent height Fh=1800-2400 mm page E12.12.05. - horizontal centre locking set n° 4328-35 for vent width Fb=1200-1400 mm page E12.12.06.

• The set contains the following high security parts:

- stainless steel mushroom head bolts pre-riveted to zinc alloy connection pieces, which are connected to the SALTO components and rods in the vent section.

- zinc alloy security keeps which are fixed on the frame section with clamping plates and self-drilling screws.

- protection pieces close to the handle and the corner transmission.

- anti-lift pins at the hinge side.

• The high security set should always be operated by a cylinder locking handle, available in 4 types (see page E12.12.07).

• All parts are made of non-corroding materials.

• Size range: - vent width: 750-1400 mm. - vent height: 900-2400 mm. - vent weight: max. 90 kg.

• Special dimensions on request!

• This system is suitable for sections with frame groove width of 14 mm. See drawing.

5. Hinges• The hinges have the same shape as the turn-tilt hinges. Both turn-tilt windows and bottom hung windows

can be placed next to one another with the advantage of having the same appearance.

• Finish of the hinges: aluminium anodised or polyester powder coated (more than 450 RAL colours).

6. Handles

• The high security system must always be operated by cylinder locking handles n° 4000-... CYL.• The cylinder locking handle can be locked in closed and tilt position.• The same handles can also be used for turn and tilt windows and tilt and turn windows. In that case,

bottom hung windows, turn-tilt windows and tilt-turn windows can be used next to one another with the advantage of having the same appearance.

• Finish : - handle n° 4000-219 CYL, n° 4000-217 CYL: grip in aluminium and base in zinc alloy, always polyester powder coated (more than 450 RAL colours).

- handle n° 4000-215 CYL, n° 4000-214 CYL: grip and base in aluminium anodised or polyester powder coated (more than 450 RAL colours).

8. General information• The high security system SALTO SAFE 4328 can be used within the Fh/Fb sizes and weight limitations

indicated on the chart below. The handle height should not be less than 1/3 of the vent height. Technical advise should be sought when the sizes of your window are not shown in the chart.

• High security keeps must be fixed on the frame section with clamping plates and self-drilling screws. Stainless steel mushroom head bolts must be adjusted so that they run free within the security keep.

• High security system SALTO SAFE 4328 is made of non-corroding materials. The set should not be installed in corrosive atmospheres.

• Sobinco cannot be held responsible for the malfunctioning of the high security system SALTO SAFE 4328 if any non-Sobinco parts are used.

• Surface treatment of vent and frame must take place before assembly of the set, as this will affect the working of the gear.

• Glazing must be in accordance with national standards.

• The window and gear should be kept clean and lubricated in accordance with our maintenance instructions (copy available on request).
