The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County is once again proud to sponsor a rewarding program that

brings happiness and wonder to area children this holiday season.

Your generous sponsorship of a child (infant to 18 years old) commits you to provide all that is on a child’s wish list. Thank You For Making A Difference

SETON HEALTH

It has been an exciting year since we last updated you about the future of Seton Health’s “Keeping the Promise Campaign” for a new emergency department at St. Mary’s Hospital. We are pleased to report that the renovations to the existing emergency department made late last year have been a tremendous success.

The addition of four new private treatment rooms, an enhanced Express Care area and a new spacious waiting room have increased efficiency and patient comfort. We are better equipped to serve the 36,000 patients who visit the St. Mary’s Emergency Department each year.

We continue to be grateful for the generous donations to the original ED/Outpatient Center project. These monies are intact and secure. Our full-service emergency department will remain an essential component of the services on the St. Mary’s Campus. We appreciate your unwavering support

and will keep you informed as the ED/Outpatient Center Project is redesigned within St. Peter’s Health Partners.

For 161 years we have been, and will continue to be, dedicated to you and your family…caring for the body, mind and spirit. Thank you again for making a difference in the lives of hundreds of persons who seek care daily at Seton Health.

Sincerely,

Matt Clarke Chairman, Foundation Board

Seton Health Auxiliary Donates Life-Saving Equipment to St. Mary’s Hospital Surgical ServicesThe Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent DePaul has awarded

Seton Health with a $10,000 grant to help the Seton Health Center for Smoking Cessation administer smoking cessation programs at two Capital Region rescue missions.

Building on the Courage to Quit program, this new grant will help sustain the smoking cessation programs at the Capital City Rescue Mission in Albany and the City Mission of Schenectady. Both shelters are faith based and helping their homeless clientele quit smoking is consistent with their spiritual foundation.

The funds will be used to provide training materials for additional shelter staff, nicotine replacement patches and gum and a stipend for the weekly cessation counseling group facilitators.

The hope is to secure funding to duplicate this model in all 17 Rescue Missions in NYS.”

Clifton Park Pediatrics Ribbon Cutting

Seton Health unveiled the new location for its Clifton Park Pediatrics with a ribbon cutting ceremony in February.

Located at 963 Rt. 146 in Clifton Park, our littlest patients will now be seen in a larger, updated facility complete with new child friendly exam rooms, separate waiting areas for sick and well patients and an expanded parking lot.

The project was funded entirely by donations through Seton Health Foundation. With help from Fidelis Care New York and Hudson River Community Credit Union, we are now better equipped to accommodate the growing needs of families in Southern Saratoga County.

Hopscotch & Slide SuccessChildren in our community were once again helped by the generosity of the more than 250 people who attended Hopscotch & Slide, which took place on Friday, April 29th, 2011 at the Washington Park Lake House in Albany. The event raised more than $47,000 for Pediatrics through sponsorships, tickets, and the sale of teddy bears which cost $10 and could be donated back to the children at our Pediatrics sites. Event co-chairs Kate Otis and Eli Rabinowitz delivered the dozens of bears commemorating the event’s 10th anniversary to Seton Pediatrics for our littlest patients to enjoy!
