Invia Pak ‘n Tassie! Thank YouThanks to all those who participated in Invia’s Pak ‘nTassie” project. Special thanks also to Herzlia Schools whopitched in with 40 school bags. Our total school bag countwas 108. These were received with many smiles by theGrade 4 & 5 learners at Perivale Primary School. Thankyou all for your kindness and generosity. Our learners arenow kitted for the 2012 school year.

The holiday season is here and schools have officially closed. Bottomup is truly thankful for the amazing year we havehad thanks to all our Bottomup ‘friends’ (in whatever capacity you may have supported this year). Where there mayhave been challenges, they were overcome with the kindness, generosity, time and other resources which you havefreely given. Bottomup wishes you a joyous festive season. We look forward to even greater things next year and hopeyou will continue to be a part of making a difference at our partner schools.

Bottomup ‘Tweets’On December 5th Bottomup hosted a Junior Careers dayfor the Grade 6 & 7 learners. Learners received theopportunity to hear from the fire department, the localSPCA vet, a technology business owner, a nurse and manyother interesting people in all all kinds of careers. Thankyou to all those who volunteered time to make it possible.

Bottomup recently (December) received an award fromthe 567Cape Talk & Dischem Cares , the R10 000 receivedwill go toward equipment for Physical Education andChess at Parkwood Primary School in 2012.

Unati Fabe (top SA body builder recently on Top Billingand SABC’s Expresso) got involved to share some wordsof encouragement about having a goal and sticking to it.His own story of achieving despite immense struggle andpoverty is an inspiration to us.
