SPRING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Boulder Housing Partners is expanding
its rent payment options! Keep an eye on your mail for more information coming
in April!
We will be turning on the irrigation sprinkler systems in April. If you see any large puddles or leaks, please contact mainte-nance at 720-564-4620. We have a continued commitment to conserve water and are thankful for your help catching issues as soon as they happen.
SPRINKLER SYSTEMS TURNING ON IF YOU SEE A LEAK, LET US KNOW!BHP appreciates your support of our
smoke-free policy. All BHP communi-ties are smoke-free; this includes the
interior buildings and exterior common spaces. Please remember, if you smoke, you
must do so at least 25 feet away from the building and common areas. Thank you.
NO SMOKING REMINDER
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAMOur annual Preventive Maintenance Program has already begun and will continue through the year until each BHP community has been inspected. As in the past, we will be entering all units to tune-up the heating systems, change furnace filters, test smoke detectors and check the operation of other systems.
You do not need to be present for these visits. Each site will receive notice at least 48 hours before we enter to perform the preventive maintenance inspections. If repairs are necessary, we will perform those repairs within thirty days of the inspection without any additional notice.

PERSONALIZING YOUR PATIO
Happy spring to the BHP community,
One of our goals at Boulder Housing Partners is to create or preserve affordability in Boulder for residents from all backgrounds and wage levels. This past winter we’ve continued our work on 30Pearl and Ciclo, two new develop-ments in Boulder Junction near 30th and Pearl, that will provide additional affordable homes in our community.
As we look ahead to these new opportunities, we also take a moment to reflect on our past year, and invite you to read BHP’s 2018 Annual Report: bit.ly/BHP-2018-AnnualReport.
We understand that housing is as much about people as it is about place. We hope you’ll find opportunities in this spring newsletter to enjoy your home and the Boulder community.

Seniors and people with disabilities that qualify and apply for the rebate will receive $85 and families with at least one child under 18 for all of 2018 will receive $260.
Applications can be picked up at the West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder, CO 80302 or downloaded at: www.bouldercolorado.gov/seniors/food-tax-rebate-program. Sign up for a financial counseling appointment and you will be eligible to receive a $50 RTD MyRide Card and a 1-year Boulder B-Cycle bike share membership. MyRide is a stored value bus fare card, so that’s $50 of bus fare and you learn about budgeting and setting financial goals.

Summer internships through “I Have a Dream” Foundation are an opportunity for students to work with local community leaders and businesses in Boulder County. In order to apply to these internships, students are required to attend two days of internship bootcamp held on April 12 and 13. BHP youth are wel-come to apply.
At the bootcamps, students will practice interviewing skills, attend a resumé workshop, build their Linkedin profile, and learn about other job resources to prepare them for summer job placement. Internship opportunities are avail-able for current 10th grade through college students. To apply, please contact Samantha Lee early in April at (303) 817-2224 or [email protected].
BUILD CAREER SKILLS - SUMMER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Boulder Student Leaders is a new pro-gram that meets each Monday at BHP’s Manhattan Community Center from 4 - 5:30 p.m. For the first hour, high school students work with tutors that are cur-rent college students at Metro State Uni-

If BHP students are interested in meeting with a tutor and earning community service hours with Boulder Student Leaders, contact BHP’s College and Career Coordinator, Samantha Lee, at [email protected].
JOIN BOULDER STUDENT LEADERS

BHP volun-teers create a sense of community strength and spirit and support residents to realize success in their lives. One-time or ongoing opportunities are available in technology assistance, home or-ganization, administrative support, or organizing
events within the community. We appreciate any time you may be able to provide and thank all of our volunteers for their support. To get started, visit: www.boulderhousing.org/volunteer-program.
