Mother’s Bourbon-Brown Sugar Barbeque Sauce 1 quart ketchup ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 cup bourbon 1 cup cider vinegar 1/3 cup molasses ½ cup Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon liquid smoke 1 teaspoon tabasco 2 teaspoons onion powder 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 teaspoons black pepper Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive pot and whisk to mix. Gradually bring sauce to a simmer over medium heat and simmer until thick and flavorful, about 1 hour.
