bournemouth bartenders league - how its run

2
The following format summarises what has currently been discussed. The league belongs to all, and we want all to speak freely on the way the league is run. Our main objective is to strengthen & unite the Bartenders of Bournemouth & the BH area. - 13 events over 2013. More can be added / included ** Please put forwards. First one end of January, Last one very early in December. - 1-2 fun events such as a quiz (Hopefully a pub too!!) - Anyone can enter. You represent yourself not a venue however your venue can be mentioned on league chart. This allows more than one bartender to enter from the same venue. - Bartenders from local area including Ringwood, Poole, etc etc. I guess anyone with a BH postcode? - Each competition is judged by the competitors competing on the day. Once all bartenders have competed you must vote for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Cant position yourself! Currently suggesting 10 points for 1st, 5 points for 2nd, 3 points for 3rd, 1 point for competing. - Guest judge (brand rep etc) will judge alongside to give industry & professional feedback to each competitor (with the aim of aiding us in bigger comps). The guest judge will award their own prize but cant affect league rankings. - We want local press to cover and maybe list leaque results - league table will feature NAME, VENUE (OPTIONAL), COMPETITIONS ENTERED, WINS, 2NDS, 3RDS, TOTAL POINTS - Each competition will be sponsored and stock supplied by sponsor. Ideally sponsor will also provide prize for guest judge to award such as bartenders kits, trips etc. Spare stock (at least 1 bottle) will be put aside and be added to so the winner of the league will be awarded all the stock in December as prize. Thats a minimum of 13 bottles of stock plus individual prizes awarded in each individual competition. The Bournemouth Bartenders League - How Its Run -

- 1-2 fun events such as a quiz (Hopefully a pub too!!)

- Anyone can enter.

- We want local press to cover and maybe list leaque results

- league table will feature NAME, VENUE (OPTIONAL), COMPETITIONS ENTERED, WINS, 2NDS, 3RDS, TOTAL POINTS

- Each competition will be sponsored and stock supplied by sponsor.

We need venues, sponsors, you, & press....!!

** On the note of further competitions you may notice that the UKBG Grand Prix has been included. This competition is open to bartenders from other area/regions and scoring for our league will discount any results gained by Bartenders from other areas. So if a London Bartender was awarded first place for the Grandprix, followed by a Bournemouth Bartender – the Bournemouth Bartender would be awarded 1st place for our league.
