Do you see what I see? “Treemendous” Bowleys Quarters.

What a great time in our beautiful hall! Thanks to all who planned, pitched in, and participated to make our Holiday Giv-ing Celebration a huge success. We are truly blessed to live in Bowley’s Quarters with special friends and neighbors. This year we provided welcome assistance to three local families. With over $500 in contributions to purchase turkeys, toys, and clothing; as well as our donated non-perishables, BQIA made Christmas very special for six children and their

grateful moms. Santas’ Ray Schaferbien and Rich Pitz delivered the goods. Special Thank Yous go to Ray Schaferbien and Buzz Marek for their donations toward the toys and clothing. Our evening was full of great food, music, and refreshments. Thank you Cecelia Myrick and Crab Quarters for the appetizing light fare selection and to all who brought additional food and

desserts. Thanks to those who helped serve food and beverages and assisted with the clean-up. Thank you Rich Pitz for the music selection and for being our “volume control”. As for our Centerpiece Extravaganza “Make and Take” (where can you find a “professional” centerpiece for $10 or less), we are grateful to those who helped deco-

rate and prepare for the evening. A big thanks to Mimi and Milt Rehbein for collecting and delivering the

greens. Thanks to The Lot for donating our greens and to the Ayres for the holly. Thanks to all who brought their own “fixins”; and to Betty Lacher and Marsha Ayres family and friends for selecting and pre-paring the “makings” for the Make and Take centerpieces and for their guidance and expertise during the creating frenzy. Kitty Blythe won the 50/50 and we thank her for donating

her winnings to the Holiday Giving Fund. As last year, everyone thought the experience was wonderful and the final products were each a work of “heart”. For those who attended and those who didn’t (Maybe next year!?), enjoy the pictures and check them out in color in the online January bulletin at www.bqia.org
